Mark up a sheet, with the tools an inspector uses

This is the markup editor from inside the platform, not a demonstration of it. Measure, dimension, cloud, stamp, take a section off the sheet, pull a measurement clear and watch the leader follow it.

The sheet opens on this browser once you leave your name and work email. It is the same unlock as the calc engine sample and the document builder: one email, three doors.

Try the sheet yourself

Your name and work email unlock the live sample sheet on this browser. No account, no card. We will follow up once by email.

The programA cloud and a note drawn on the sample sheet with the same tools an inspector uses on a plan page or a photo. The panel on the right styles whatever is selected; the bar above the cloud copies or deletes it.

Nothing on this page is saved, and nothing leaves it. It runs entirely in your browser, on a sample sheet we drew for it. Close the tab and it is gone. Exporting and printing need an account, because what you practise on is not a record. Try it free for 30 days. No credit card. Inside a project the same editor files what you draw to the daily report it belongs to, and exports it at full resolution.

The same editor, inside a daily report

On a project the sheet is not a sample. It is one of the day's photos or a plan page, and what you measure on it is filed with the report it belongs to. Captured and calculated in the field on a tablet or phone, and open on your computer when it needs refining.

The programA quantity worked on the photo.Three areas shaded and dimensioned on the photo, and the calc box beside them turning those dimensions into square yards and then cubic yards — each line an equation, each result with its unit and the conversion it used. Measured by, calculated by and checked by sit on the same page.
The programA field photo, measured.A photo from the day's report with each conduit run dimensioned on it, and the calc table beside it adding the runs, the uprights and the elbows to the quantity. The picture, the measurements and the arithmetic are one page of the record.
The programDrawings.Drawings belong to the report they were made for. Mark up a plan page, start a blank field sketch or a gridded cross-section, or annotate one of the day's photos.
The programPhotos.Take or select photos on the report; each one carries its GPS position, and any of them can be opened in the markup editor from its own corner.

Things worth trying on it

  • Dimension the thin oneThe surface course at the top of the pavement is deliberately too thin for its own number. Dimension its thickness and the text places itself clear with a leader pointing back at what it measures.
  • Pull a measurement's text awayDrag the number anywhere on the sheet. A leader follows it back to the dimension it belongs to, and disappears when you put it back.
  • Point at something with a photo or a noteThe leader tool drags from the thing you are pointing at to where the callout sits, and you choose what lands there.
  • Select something, then take it apartThe actions for what you have selected appear on the sheet, so it works with a finger on a tablet and needs no keyboard.

The sheet is drawn for this sandbox. It is not an agency or client plan set, and its dimensions are illustrative.

This is a practice sheet from the ProjectFlowLive annotation sandbox. It is not a record and is not intended to be printed. Exporting a sheet at full resolution needs an account. Try it free for 30 days. No credit card.
